UMH, among the best Spanish universities

In the fifth edition of the U-Ranking of Spanish Universities produced by the BBVA Foundation and the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (IVIE), the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) occupies the fifth position in the ranking of best Spanish universities along with six others. In the ranking's classification for Innovation and Technological Development, the UMH is sixth, and in terms of employability, the UMH places eleventh. What's more, most of the bachelor's programs offered at the UMH are ranked among the top five positions in terms of this ranking's criteria of Teaching, Research, and Innovation & Technological Development.

The Way of St. James as a Cultural Bridge, The Presidency of Donald Trump, Miguel Hernández and the Historical Memory, Drones, and Emotional Intelligence are some of the summer courses that the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) has organized for the 18th edition of this program. In this edition, the UMH is offering 80 courses to be given at 18 locations throughout the province. The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) is planning a multitude of activities this year to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the academic institution's founding. A special commission for this event is coordinating several initiatives that the university community is promoting or proposing to celebrate this milestone.

Cinco Actos exhibition

Alicantino artist Pablo Bellot is exhibiting Cinco Actos, a sample of ceramics, video, and sonorous sculptures in the Universitas Room of the Rectorado & Consejo Social Building on the Elche Campus of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH). Simultaneously, photographer Rubén H. Bermúdez is showing Y tú, ¿por qué eres negro? Diario de una investigación (And you, why are you black? Diary of an investigation) in the Gray Hall of the Rectorado & Consejo Social Building. Both exhibits are on display until September 15.

Pepe Andreu Radio Award

The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) and the Alicante Press Association (APA) have announced the seventh edition of the Pepe Andreu Radio Award for journalism, which was created in 2008 by both institutions to honor this Elche journalist. This award, endowed with 3,000 euros in prize money, strives to stimulate the work of radio professionals.
