Fluid Mechanics is directly involved in many fields of engineering. To give some examples: aerodynamics of vehicles, hydraulic transmission systems, design of turbines for the production of electrical power, pumps and compressors, ventilation and air conditioning systems, conduction and distribution of liquids or gases, etc.
The aim of this course is to introduce the concepts and fundamental equations of fluid mechanics. These principles will be applied to several specific situations in the field of engineering but, above all, the future engineer will have the knowledge needed to analyze many other situations to which he will face in the exercise of his profession.
