There are two evaluation systems that students can accept. CONTINUOUS EVALUATION (recommended), which consists of two parts: 1. Practice (70%): This option is based on the continuous performance of 5 mandatory practices that students must submit throughout the course. At the beginning of the semester, students will have an explanatory dossier of the entire subject, which will include a work schedule with the stipulated delivery dates. In this way, the student can organize their homework and know from the beginning the days of mandatory delivery of work. The grade of these written exercises is equivalent to 60% of the mark in the subject. Each of these works are valued differently depending on their importance in terms of the competences of the subject. This dossier includes the specific rules and objectives of each practice and its value in the note. 2. Attendance and active participation in classes (30%). It is essential to attend 80% of the practical and theoretical classes. In the continuous evaluation, the participation, debate and involvement of the student prevails. Therefore, in the continuous evaluation, delivery of all practices and class attendance are essential to pass the course. In the event that a student suspends the subject or does not appear at the call of unio, in the September and extraordinary call it will be presented in the NON-CONTINUOUS EVALUATION modality.
NON-CONTINUOUS EVALUATION: In the case of choosing not to follow the system of continuous assessment practices and workshops, the student is advised to communicate it in the first week of the course. In this modality you can take a final exam of the subject, which will include additional questions of theory and practice. The test will include, on the one hand, a development test (short but well argued and concrete answers) taken from the four basic manuals of the subject. Also a second practical test that will be based on the writing of a journalistic text related to scientific dissemination from a material provided. The answers to the development questions and the practical part must be excellent from a spelling and grammar point of view.
In the dossier of the subject the criteria of correction of the practices of the continuous evaluation are explained in detail: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jDgplyHrUI7jhwZ-aAxCriE2ShSNCE_R/view?usp=sharing If there were any modification it would be communicated to the student.
For the non-continuous evaluation, it is first necessary that the answers be included in the basic manuals of the bibliography and for the correction of the practical exercise, it will be taken into account that the news is well written, that is understandable to the general public, while attractive Also that meets the standards of journalistic style.
