As a consequence of the restrictions for the development of face-to-face activities in the coming months, derived from the situation caused by COVID-19, and within the UMH Continuity Plan against it, we inform you of how management will be affected and defense of the Final Degree Projects at the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of Elche, which will be presented during the 2019/2020 academic year, based on the exceptional indications applicable in the TFG and TFM subjects prepared by the Office of the Vice-Rector for Studies .
We refer to these exceptional indications, with the following clarifications, specific to the Faculty:
POINT 1: REORIENTATION OR MODIFICATION OF WORKS
Affecting mainly experimental work due to inability to access facilities or suspension of external practices. In case you want to present the work in the 2019/2020 call. Read the indications of the document linked in point 1. It refers to the reinforcement of the tutor's performance and to the reorientation of the work with respect to the initially projected, and / or its completion with other data and sources.
DEFENSE OF WORK IN THE 2020/2021 COURSE
In the case of students who want to wait for the 2020/2021 course to complete in person all the experimental activities originally planned for their TFG or TFM, without the need to cancel their enrollment. The students must submit an application in which they adequately justify their decision, which must necessarily be accompanied by the approval of the tutor. This request should be addressed to the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of Elche. The Vice-Rector's Office for Students and Coordination will decide whether to authorize it.
USE OF TELEMATIC TOOL AND VIRTUAL EXPOSURE
Regarding the evaluation procedure, the ninth guideline of the Specific Guidelines of the FCCSSJJE deals with the delivery and evaluation before a tutor or tutors. It indicates that:
"3. The student may send their tutor or tutors, in addition to their TFG document, a video of between five and ten minutes in avi, mp4 or mpeg-4 format showing the work done.
4. Likewise, the tutor or tutors will require the student to present and discuss the work in its final version in a final evaluative tutorial session ”.
Said indications are still in force, although in the case of the exposition and discussion referred to in this indication 4, it will be carried out virtually using the Google Meet tool, and by any of the variants recommended in point 3 of the Indications Document. exceptional applicable in the subjects TFG and TFM, understanding that when it speaks of a trial court or evaluating commission, it refers to the tutor or tutors.
EXCEPTIONAL EVALUATION CALENDAR
In the June call, an exceptional evaluation calendar is enabled. Students who, as a consequence of the state of alarm, have suffered circumstances that significantly hinder the progress of the work, such as: obtaining primary data through field work, access to information sources, may be evaluated in this period. bibliographic or other, lack of hardware or software computing resources necessary to carry out the work, inability to access laboratories and university facilities, etc. The students who take advantage of this exceptional period must submit an application in which they adequately justify their decision, which must necessarily be accompanied by the approval of the tutor. This request should be addressed to the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of Elche.
