The final grade will be obtained as follows:
Final Note (NF) = 0.2xEP + 0.75xET + 0.05xPC
Practical Evaluation (EP) = 20%
Theory exam (ET) = 75%
Class Participation (PC) = 5%
To pass the course the student must obtain at least 5 in ET and the final grade (NF) is equal to or greater than 5 points.
(1) Practical Evaluation (EP) and Class Participation (PC):
Option 1: Continuous assessment
Practical Evaluation (EP) (0-10): Making scoring assessments over corresponding to the practices during the course and course using the Excel tool and/or RStudio (20% of the final grade).
Class Participation (PC) (0-10): The number of shares in the class and quality of them (5% of the final grade).
Option 2 (EP): Final practice exam
EP(0-10): Making a final practice exam, which will consist of problem solving with EXCEL and/or RStudio, without making use of any material support, except for the help offered by the software. In this case, this exam represents 25% of the final grade and participation in class will not be counted. Final Note (NF) = 0.25 x EP + ET x 0.75.
The grades obtained in EP and PC are saved until the December call.
(2) Theory exam (ET) (0-10).
The exams will be written, of resolution of problems and questions related to the contents of the subject. Each problem or issue will be scored according to the quality of its approach and numerical resolution.
At least a 5 in (ET) must be obtained for ET to average with practice (EP) and participation (CP).
