The subject is divided into three thematic blocks: I) solar energy (units 1 and 2); II) electric power and energy efficiency (units 3 and 4); III) equipment (units 5, 6, 7 and 8). Each block will be evaluated independently by an exam. Examinations of blocks I and II will take place approximately one week after the corresponding subject is finished. The partial exam for block III will take place on the date of the final exam.
To pass the course, it is necessary to pass each of the three blocks that comprise it. The mark will be the average of the marks of the three blocks.
There will be a final exam on the official published date that will include the whole syllabus of the subject. Students will not have to give the exame of the thematic blocks they have passed during the course.
The minimum score of each block in the final exam to obtain the weighted average of the subject will be 4 points out of 10.
Call for September:
The marks of the partial exams that have been passed will remain until the September exam. Those students who have passed one of the blocks during the course or in the June exam, in September, will only have to examine the remaining block or blocks. The minimum grade to overcome the outstanding blocks in September will be 5.
After the September exam the marks of the blocks will not be saved for next calls.
The partial eliminatory examination of each block will consist of theory (40%) and problem solving and practical cases (60%). The duration of each partial exam will not exceed 3 hours.
Block I: The partial proof will be written with the support of summary sheets (not “forms”) prepared individually; With a weight of 60%. There will also be, parallel to the classes, a continuous evaluation with problems and work (40%).
Block II: Multiple choice questions or short questions of theory and the resolution of two exercises, with the help of the necessary tables or manuals.
Block III: Short questions of theory and the resolution of exercises with the help of notes.
In the single test mode, each part will have a maximum duration of 90 minutes.
The test questions will be multiple choice with only one correct option. Incorrect answers will subtract half the score from a correct answer.
The questions will be answered in a reasonable manner and the proper structuring and rigor in their development will be assessed.
In the correction of the problems, the process followed in the resolution of the same will be taken into account, the justification of adopted solutions, the obtaining of precise results and the correct use of the units. The realization of diagrams, diagrams or drawings will be valued when appropriate.
Identification of students may be required during the exam.
