The Audiovisual Communication and Advertising Observatory (OCAP) research group is comprised mainly by faculty from the UMH Department of Social and Human Sciences, and they have carried out joint work in various research projects and at international congresses.
Emilio Roselló (email@example.com) is the group's coordinator, Rocío Cifuentes (firstname.lastname@example.org) is its scientific coordinator, and Begoña Ivars (email@example.com) is technical coordinator.
The general objectives of OCAP's research activity are positioned as a space-place for multilateral observation that centers its common interest on examining visual and audiovisual images and in exploring the communicative functions that new emerging media apply with ease.
The disciplinary specificity of the group's research is noteworthy due to the circumstantial characteristics deriving from its teaching and research activities in the three undergraduate programs it participates in. Their affinity and correspondence enhance the inductive effect for the observatory to achieve common research objectives on the audiovisual and advertising. Thus, and from a view that is triple, common, and three-dimensional, its research objectives are highlighted:
1. Functions of the image and the design of its communication
2. Audiovisual media - Mass media
3. Cultural and/or entertainment audiovisual production
