The Department of Economics and Financial Studies is dedicated to promoting student learning in a range of business and economic disciplines. We provide students with educational opportunities in the fields of business, applied economics, economic theory, accounting and finance, taxation, public finance, and marketing in several undergraduate and master’s programs related to business, economics, political science, law, and engineering.
Focusing on the department’s fields of knowledge, our faculty members and researchers publish in renowned journals in their respective fields. Moreover, we offer graduate programs providing professional specialization, like the Master’s in Tax Consultancy and the graduate research program in Marketing and Business Strategy (PhD), which provides research training and the chance to develop advanced skills and related expertise.
This department does not only focus on theory and research. Practical experience also plays an important role in our teaching as well as in our research. To achieve this, we maintain extensive relationships with local firms and institutions and organize a significant number of events to close the gap between theory and practice to maximize employment opportunities for our students.
