The unit generally raises the meaning of the three main processes in the flow of genetic information: replication, transcription and translation.
General general attributes of the DNA replication process are discussed, with special emphasis on its semiconservative bidirectional character. Following transcription of the DNA or RNA-dependent synthesis of DNA, and protein biosynthesis explained. The description of the genetic code provides the BASIC idea last process flow of genetic information, the translation or conversion of the information encoded in the nucleotide sequence, into a functional protein sequence.
