Fundamentals of Business Management is a basic course of 6 credits, equivalents to 150 hours of work by the student.The course length is quarterly and it takes place during the second quarterly of the first year of the Degree in Computer Engineering and Information Technology.
This course presents the priority objective that students acquire the basic knowledge of the company, to understand the fundamentals that sustain the Direction System and the Business Management from a global perspective.
Following this theoretical framework, the program addresses a number of general concepts about the enterprise and the entrepreneurs, distinguishing between the different company types and the nature of the managerial work and the decision making.
In other matters, addresses the general concepts of the process of the business administration which conditions the exercise of the company direction, such as the setting of objectives, planning, organization, management and control.
In another theoretical framework it deals with the environment and its interaction and influence in the company. And finally, addresses the concepts that contextualize the business subsystems: operational, commercial, investment and financing of the company.
When the students of this degree complete their studies and enter the labor market may choose to create their own business. And since that they have obtained basic knowledge of the company and its problems, this will allow them, with higher probability of success, managing their business.
