- Lecture: Pass on knowledge and activate cognitive processes in students, encouraging their participation.
- Problem-based learning: Develop active learning strategies through problem solving that promote thinking, experimentation, and decision making in the student.
Course evaluation will consist of:
A multiple choice test of 40-60 questions, each question having four possible answers of which only one will be correct, and only one can be chosen. Two additional questions will require the identification of cell or tissue structures.
A practical exam based on the preparation of a dossier from the practical classes. .
Group project: consisting of the written presentation of work carried out in groups of three. Groups may choose to present a talk in front of the class based on a PowerPoint presentation.
Control tests at the end of Unit 3 and the second at the end of Unit 6. A multiple choice test of 40-60 questions, each question having four possible answers of which only one will be correct, and only one can be chosen. Two additional questions will require the identification of cell or tissue structures.
Students who pass these tests are not required to sit the final exam.
Practical and group work is obligatory.
Recovery tests will be of the short answer type and will be supplemented with one or two questions in which cell or tissue structures must be identified.
In the test of multiple choice, each 4 poorly answered questions will eliminate 1 right answered question (unanswered questions are not considered).
The final score will be 60% of the test, 30% of practical and 10% of teamwork scores. All these exams must be passed (min. score 4.5).
In the short-answer questions, the score assigned to each question will be indicated. The sum of all scores will be 10.
The partial tests will score out of 10. The scores of the partial tests will be averaged.
Revisions of tests shall be carried out according to the current regulations of the UMH.
