Access
Eligible for this master's program, which enables practicing the profession of agricultural engineering, are individuals who possess the competencies contained in section 3 of the order that establishes the requirements for the verification of official university degrees that enable practicing the profession of technical agricultural engineering provided their training is in accordance with section 5 of the aforementioned order.
Likewise, access to this program is also permitted when the individual's undergraduate degree attests to successful completion of the basic training module and the module common to the field, even though it does not cover a complete block of the specific technology module but does cover 48 credits of those offered in the set of blocks of said module from an undergraduate degree program that enables practicing the profession of technical agricultural engineer, in accordance with the aforementioned order.
Individuals possessing any other undergraduate degree are also eligible for the program. In such cases, they may be subject to completing additional training that is deemed necessary.
The preceding sections shall be understood as subject to the provisions of Article 17.2 and the fourth additional provision of Royal Decree 1393/2007 of 29 October.
For access to the master's program, taken into account is Section 1 from Article 16 of Royal Decree 861/2010, of 2 July, which amends Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, by which the organization of official university education is established, and is written as follows:
For access to official master's education, applicants must hold either an official Spanish university degree or one conferred by a higher education institution in a country belonging to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that entitles access to master's education in such country.
University graduates, such as agricultural engineers, may receive credit recognition for the program's 72 credits that correspond to its required courses. Recognition will not be granted for the Final Master's Project, which is in accordance with Article 6 of Royal Decree 861/2010, of 2 July, which amends Royal Decree 1393/2007 of 29 October.
Admissions
If the number of program applicants who fulfill its requirements is inferior to the number of student positions available, the admitted candidates may proceed and enroll. If the number of applicants exceeds it, the Master's Academic Committee will apply the merit assessment procedure to determine which candidates are admitted.
Following each master's pre-enrollment period, established during the months of June and September of each year, the committee will select those applicants who may enroll.
Student selection is based on the documentation provided by the applicants; assessed are the academic record, which accounts for 90%, and the curriculum vitae, which accounts for 10%.
The Master's Academic Committee is designated for this purpose by the Governing Board of the School of Engineering of Orihuela (EPSO, UMH), and it includes:
- Master's coordinator.
- Master's assistant coordinator.
- 2 UMH faculty members participating in the program.
