The clinical reasoning is the mental process of integrating the clinical information provided by the patient to the health professional in the interview, the physical examination and the complementary tests, which together with the knowledge acquired by the students during their university stage, will allow them to elaborate a set of probable diagnoses and decision making associated with clinical practice for the management of patient's problems.
The clinical reasoning follows the postulates of the theory of rationality and the science of decision making, has a certain method and a specific training. The three characteristics would be:
1. Subordination of the theoretical postulates to the clinical presentations of the patient.
2. Systematic re-evaluation after the physiotherapeutic act.
3. Focusing on problem solving.
