The Business Administration and Management curriculum is divided into core, required, and elective courses, and this program is designed to last four academic years.
Throughout this time, its core and required courses address all aspects related to business creation, management, and organization, as well as running different functional areas: operations, human resources, marketing, accounting, finance. Legal principles specific to the areas of commercial, labor, and tax law are also covered. Quantitative aspects, economic analysis, in addition to issues related to psychology in the workplace and social areas of business are included in the electives, which along with the other Transverse and Professional Competencies, allow the student to design the final portion of the curriculum and enhance the skills acquired.
The curriculum fosters student employability and essential management skills in order to identify and anticipate opportunities, make decisions, allocate resources and organize information, provide leadership, communication, and motivation, develop creativity and teamwork, manage time, resolve conflicts, manage diversity, and ensure business ethics and sustainability. Furthermore, self-employment possibilities are developed by teaching business and entrepreneurial skills.
The program's electives are indicated in the Courses section, and are part of the Transversal and Professional Competencies Module. This module can be completed either by taking these electives or by recognition for a series of activities such as internal and external internships, language skills, taking UMH Continuing Education courses, professional work experience, attending University workshops and conferences, etc. For complete information regarding this recognition, click on the following link: http://estudios.umh.es/reconocimiento-creditos/grados/
