The resistance of materials is a core subject for the development of the profession. Understanding the mechanical behavior of materials is fundamental to the design, dimensioning, manufacturing, life ... of them.

### Methodology and grading

#### Methodology

**Case studies:**Learning through the analysis of actual or simulated cases in order to interpret and resolve them by employing various alternative solution procedures.**Cooperative learning:**Develop active learning through cooperative working strategies among students and promote shared responsibility to reach group goals.**Lecture:**Pass on knowledge and activate cognitive processes in students, encouraging their participation.**Solving exercises and problems:**Exercise, test, and apply previous knowledge through routine repetition.

#### Grading

- To pass the course you must obtain a mínmo of 5 out of 10 in the total amount of the notes.

Practices are voluntary and will add 1 as a final grade for the course.

Voluntary practices are divided into 4 parts, with the following breakdown:

- 3 practical, lasting two hours each, to make the kind of theory. In each of them is individually must solve a problem. Each session will have an approximate number of 30 students. The problem is the same for all students in that session, only changing any data between each. It will leave about 1 hour to resolve it and the result is given to the teacher. If this is correct, the student will get 0.25 points for the final score. Only the result, not the process is taken into account. In the remaining time the problem will be solved on the board, so that each student collate resolution.

- 1 practice, in a two-hour session, an introduction to the program of calculation of metal structures, Metal 3D Cype. This session will be held in a computer room in groups of about 30 students. Both practice and the score will be obtained from individuals. Each of the students will solve the problem you are given and the end of the practice session will be collected with the result.

Therefore you may be obtained 0.75 points in total in class practices and 0.25 points in the -aula care practices, informatics, making a total of 1 point to add to the exam for the grade of 5 out of 10 .The exam will have 10 points. Therefore, a student who does not make the practice should get a 5 on the exam to pass the course. At the other extreme, if a student successfully performs all practices, and therefore gets 1 point, the review must obtain a minimum of 4.00 to pass the course. There is compulsory for all practical note of them, just the points obtained in each of the practices superadaso added together and added to the exam grade for the final grade.

Also add that the notes are not saved practices of one school year to another.

CONTENT STANDARDS and REVIEW.

The examination shall be written and may contain questions of theory and / or issues. The examination will be divided into parts and may be required a minimum score in each part.

OTHER: It is the policy of the course, which is not corrected any written test pencil or can be used for carrying out the same no record. Yes you are allowed to use the calculator. All calculations and checks required to resolve issues and problems will be given . They did not give good results for unjustified.

On examination it has to be provided with DNI or similar document if it is not Spanish.

If exams are performed, each of them must obtain a minimum score of 5 in order to obtain the average between the two.

REVIEW REVIEW

They will be revised without written contents delivered in pencil exam. Since must ensure equality among all students, the performance of work is not contemplated for up note, the personal circumstances of the student.
