a) Know recognize the general characteristics of superficial and deep fungal infections including procedures for the etiologic diagnosis; b) Know recognize the differential characteristics diagnostic of the main opportunistic fungal (candidiasis, Cryptococcosis, aspergillosis and zygomycosis) and endemic, and clinical-epidemiologic (histoplasmosis, Coccidioidomycosis) and be able to identify the major clinical syndromes; (c) Know to guide the diagnosis and treatment of major opportunistic mycoses.
