The first part of the subject will focus on some genomic aspects of human genetics. The unit is divided into four parts. In the first one, whole-genome sequencing approaches will be addressed. In the second and third parts, the mechanisms that allow the maintenance of the integrity of the genomes will be analyzed, studying the meiosis, which allows it to be maintained over generations, and mechanisms to repair DNA damages. Finally, the consequences of mutations in tumor development were studied to a genomic level.
