Command and critical analysis of the problems and methodological challenges that the use of audiovisual media and technical innovation of audiovisual anthropology mean for anthropological research.
Audiovisual anthropology is a field of study and a methodological procedure of social anthropology based on animated images as suitable tools for observation, description, and analysis of the human reality. It is an alternative to work ethnographic, unlike others like the written description. The audiovisual anthropology has three types of activity: a) ethnographic research based on the use of audio-visual recording techniques, b) the use of such techniques as writing and publishing medium, c) the study of the image in the broad sense.
n this course we offer students advanced methodological training necessary to propose and carry out ethnographic research and work master's through audiovisual techniques, through the acquisition of the domain and critical reflection on problems and methodological challenges involved in the use of audiovisual media and the innovative techniques of anthropology audiovisual for the anthropological research.
