The Artistic Interferences and Media Lab (IAMLab) is an interdisciplinary research group focused on experimentation on and inquiry into intermedia and transmedia artistic practices. Our productions evolve in the transits between traditional disciplines, the audiovisual, sonorous, performative, and new technologies. Our interests lie within the area of visual culture, public and context art, process poetics, collaborative practice, and pedagogical processes.
Objectives
- Conduct research, experimentation, and produce artistic intermedia, hypermedia, and transmedia experiences with special attention to transits between traditional disciplines, the audiovisual, sonorous, performative, and new technologies.
- Carry out theoretical research and develop practical intervention projects within the public eye and diverse social contexts using technology and critical action strategies.
- Investigate theories and productions of visual culture and digital culture for their application to the development of intermedia, hypermedia, and transmedia artistic processes in addition to potential educational uses.
