This group's three PhDs belong to the area of Mechanical Engineering, and they possess more than 15 years' experience in R&D related to that area. In their research efforts, they employ testing equipment and computing resources for mechanical designs and calculations that they acquired in recent projects undertaken by group members.
Group objectives include:
- Advancing different lines of research related to vehicle engineering (specifically structural behavior and safety, and introducing electrical mobility), designs of machines and components, and biomechanics.
- Collaborating with other research groups, in both engineering as well as other fields, such as medicine.
- Transferring knowledge, through the provision of services and agreements with industrial firms as well as with new patents and their promotion.
- Disseminating knowledge to society, in matters of general interest related to group lines of research.
