Basic and clinical investigators form the Cell Therapy Group. Its general objective is to transfer biochemical, nutritional, and pharmacological knowledge resulting from ongoing projects to specific clinical strategies. Our most recent work has led us to select clones from adipose mesenchymal cells with specific clinical potential due to their differentiation as well as immunosuppressant properties. This group also has a transgenic mouse model that enables research on pancreatic damage and regeneration in experimental diabetes models. Furthermore, the group aims to study nutrients with antioxidant potential to improve physiological and athletic parameters in addition to conducting pharmacological studies in collaboration with hospitals.
