The 10% of the final mark will be obtained from the evaluation of the outreach activity conducted through the radio program Health and wellness through nutrition.
The 40% of the final grade will correspond to the rating practices.
The remaining 50% correspond to the final exam grade for the contents of the course.
All these percentages apply whenever the final exam than 4.5 / 10.
The evaluation will be done according to the Sibguientes criteria: qualification of the final examination of the contents of the subject, will be scored with a maximum of 6 points. The test will consist of 45 to 60 test-type questions with multiple responses and true and false answers (four wrong answers would subtract one question well) B) The practical part qualification shall be scored with a maximum of 4 points. The practical part will consist of: B1) evaluation of the activity of scientific divulgation carried out in a communication medium of the university Miguel Hernández (individual work). Maximum 1 point. B2) Delivery of practice reports for practice sessions (shared work for a maximum of 4 students). These reports will consist of a video of at most three minutes where an introduction of the practice, the applied methodology and the results obtained (the videos will begin with a UMH logor where the name of the authors is collected, the name of the course (Biotecnología de los Alimentos funcionales) and the names of the students. Maximum 2 points. All percentages shall apply provided that the final Test note exceeds 4.5 over 10
All percentages will be applied as long as the final note of the exam is higher than 4.5/10

The second semester of the 2019/2020 course will be subject to the following changes in the teaching guide that are specified as an addendum to the previously approved for the subject.
Theory classes: Teaching is taught live in the bands established for the subject in the official-stated hours of the degree, with the participation of students through the Google Meet tool from the virtual campus (Universite).
Practical classes: The laboratory practices have been replaced by equivalent practices that students can do at home and later send a report that allows evaluating their performance. The acquisition of the corresponding competences is thus assured.
Tutorials: They are carried out, at the request of the students, through the Google Meet tool, at a time agreed by the teacher-student. Others are done through email, answering the questions raised.
System and evaluation criteria of the subject:
The course is made up of three different modules:
Theoretical part (60%): Continuous evaluation by means of on-line exams of a non-classroom test.
The type of examination will be modified, which will be a multiple-choice test with true and false questions. The exam will be carried out simultaneously to all the students of the subject through the virtual Campus. Response times will be adjusted and the student will only have a single response attempt.
Students will be supervised through the Google Meet platform through their mobile phone, for which they must have the camera active for authentication and their ID. Students will be asked not to wear headphones and have their other hand in view of the camera to reduce the risk of copying, data searching etc. The student may be asked to move their phone to obtain the vision that the teacher wants.
It will be necessary to obtain a minimum grade of 4.5 in the theoretical part to be able to apply the rest of the percentages of the subject.
Theoretical-practical works, (40%) consisting of two activities: (i) Evaluation of the scientific dissemination activity carried out in a media outlet of the Miguel Hernández University (individual work) with 10% of the mark and (ii ) Tasks and technical reports related to the theoretical development of potentially functional food with 30% of the mark. The realization of the practices is MANDATORY.
Students have the right to sit for a final exam that includes 100% of the content (theoretical and practical).
