La Historia de la Fisioterapia actúa como el elemento fundamental que da cohesión y configura la identidad de la profesión de fisioterapeuta, por tratarse de la única disciplina de la carrera que proporciona una mirada unitaria sobre los conocimientos y las prácticas que la componen, en sus dimensiones científico-técnica, social y cultural. A través de la misma, con la importante inclusión de adquisición de habilidades en Documentación, se adquieren una serie de conceptos y habilidades necesarias para el ejercicio profesional de la Fisioterapia.
Methodology and grading
- Case studies: Learning through the analysis of actual or simulated cases in order to interpret and resolve them by employing various alternative solution procedures.
- Problem-based learning: Develop active learning strategies through problem solving that promote thinking, experimentation, and decision making in the student.
- Project-based learning: Realization of a project to solve a problem, applying acquired learning and promoting abilities related to planning, design, performing activities, and reaching conclusions.
A) Theory test which takes place at the end of the subject and which consists of objectic test: TEST (50 multiple choice questions). The mark for the theory section constitutes 50% of the final subject mark. The test will be marked as follows: for every four incorrect answers one positive point will be subtracted. You will need a minimun of 5 out of 10 to pass the subject.
B) In the practical examination what will gain points will be the ability to correctly search for scientific information and solve practical problems in scientific documentation. Thje mark obtained in the practical examination will be constitute 30% of the final mark achieved in the subject. To pass the practical examination the students will have to obtain a minimun of 5 out of 10. Computer practices classes are complulsary.
C) The student must write a paper on a subject which is relevant to the course content based on their own criteria. The student must use at least two of the books recomended in the basic or complementary bibliography, and must include a conceptual summary of these texts and his/her own critical comments. The paper must be between four and five pages long with normal margins, 1,5 line spacing and 11 points Arial typeface size. Accuracy, the ability to interrelate concepts, clear expression and a critical approach will be positively evaluated. The mark obtained in this paper will constitute 20% of the final mark.
