The first year addresses core subject matter applied to the area of physical and athletic activities (e.g., biomechanics, statistics, psychology, biology, etc.), laying the foundations for future learning. The second is highly practical, with applications to different sporting modalities, their technical and tactical instruction, as well as other motor manifestations in the natural medium, body language, and dance. Its third year offers courses home to the area of physical and athletic education that profile the professional activity of the future graduate, such as coaching athletics, teaching physical activity and sports, and prescribing physical activity for health or physical activity and sports for people with disabilities. The final year supplements the student's education, and it is at this time that the external practices take place (6 credits), the Final Degree Project (6 credits) is completed, in addition to configuring the elective training or Transversal and Professional Competencies chosen by the student (18 credits).
In all courses, the student's instruction is complemented by a series of transversal and longitudinal seminars, permitting additional training for the development of professional competencies (e.g., languages, documentary search, development of communication skills, group work activities, etc.).
The program's electives are indicated in the Courses section, and are part of the Transversal and Professional Competencies Module. This module can be completed either by taking these electives or by recognition for a series of activities such as internal and external internships, language skills, taking UMH Continuing Education courses, professional work experience, attending University workshops and conferences, etc. For complete information regarding this recognition, click on the following link: http://estudios.umh.es/reconocimiento-creditos/grados/
